Emergency Services Clinician
Rockbridge Area Community Services (RACS) in Lexington, VA is seeking clinicians to work four (4) 10-hour shifts to provide crisis intervention services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance abuse crises. DUTIES: Provide mental health and substance abuse emergency services for individuals of all ages; complete pre-admission screenings, facilitate hospital admissions and discharges; provide crisis intervention and crisis case management services as needed; provide motivational therapy or DBT modalities to individuals and families in crisis, and attend commitment hearings and assist with MOT clients as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in human services related field, mental health and/or substance abuse experience and licensed/licensed eligible in VA as a LPC, LCSW, LCP or the like; OR equivalent combination of education and experience including BSN RNs with Psychiatric Nursing experience in outpatient or inpatient settings. Extensive knowledge of the DSM, mental health and substance abuse assessments, treatment, crisis assessment and intervention strategies for clients of all ages; must be certified or eligible to be certified as a pre-screener by the CSB and Virginia DBHDS.
