Mental Health Skill-Building Technician
Full-time with excellent benefits DUTIES: The incumbent in this position is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and provides in-home services in independent living skills training in the Mental Health Skill-Building Services Program. The incumbent is responsible for implementing the residential component of treatment plans for clients enrolled in the Mental Health Skill-Building Services Program. The incumbent provides training/skill development in locating, obtaining and maintaining a primary residence in the community in addition to training in the areas of independent living skills. The incumbent reports to the Program Manager of Adult Clinical Support Services for these position duties. The position requires the employee be able to function independently with minimal supervision; exercise sound judgment; motivational techniques and observe professional standards of confidentiality. This position requires flexibility which may include evening and weekend hours. The incumbent may, at the discretion of the Program Manager or Director, act as designated senior staff member in the absence of the Manager of Adult Clinical Support Services. QUALIFICATIONS: The employee must possess a Bachelor’s in a related mental health field, at least one year of experience with SMI Population and be a QMHP. CPRP Preferred. The employee must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License, maintain a safe driving record according to RACS Policy and be willing to work flexible hours as needed for special programming needs.
