Knowledge of CSB system; clinical motivation of clients; case management; etiology of substance abuse; related mental
disorders; self -help groups; bio, psycho, and social aspects of substance abuse. Skills in group, oral and written
communication; multi-cultural sensitivities; sound judgment.

Master degree in human service with at least two years of substance abuse
experience. Applicant must also have at least 2 years of experience providing substance abuse group and individual counseling;
knowledge of mental health /co-occurring behaviors and experience writing clinical reports and summaries to include
appropriate substance use diagnosis.

License eligible as a LPC, LSATP, Addiction Specialist, LCSW, LCP, etc. Certified Substance Abuse Counselor

Work experience in group/individual SU work in public agency preferred.

A bilingual (English, Spanish) candidate is preferred.

This is a Grade 209 hourly position. The minimum hourly rate is $21.89.

Starting salary for new employees will be based on the prospective employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities directly relating to the position’s duties. Current or most recent verified salary will also be taken into consideration prior to making an offer of employment. Starting salaries for new employees will not exceed the advertised maximum and will be based on the availability of funding within the current budget.

Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening, to include a driver’s license report with a -6 point balance or higher.
