Administrative Support Specialist II (Petersburg) (SUD Clinic)
District 19 Community Services Board is offering a full-time Administrative Support Specialist II position to provide administrative support to the Petersburg SUD clinic. Essential job duties include; answering the phones including multi- line phone system and directing calls; greeting consumers in a confidential and professional manner and providing excellent customer service. Provides support services to include tasks such as typing, filing, and management of mail and correspondence. Creates and/or maintains associated documents, databases, meetings, special events. Assisting in chart/records organization/preparing for destruction. Preparing medical record request and responding to them in a timely manner. Coordinate with central reimbursement office, managers, and clinical staff with concerns regarding consumer’s fees and account balances. Collect consumer fees and maintain related records. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Successful applicant must have high school diploma or equivalent; experience with multi-line telephones; at least 2 years of experience in mental health or medical setting; knowledge of medical or behavioral health reimbursement, experience in data entry/typing; computer experience with Microsoft word and Excel.
Preferred Experience with using Profiler/Electronic Health Records. Some college preferred.
Position requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, occasional lifting of approximately 25 lbs., bending/squatting to access records/files. Frequent data entry/typing/keyboarding.
Bilingual (English, Spanish) candidate is preferred.
Position is Grade 202. Minimum Annual salary for this position is $26,500.00
Starting salary for new employees will be based on the prospective employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities directly relating to the position’s duties. Starting salaries for new employees will not exceed the advertised maximum and will be based on the availability of funding within the current budget.

Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Driver’s license in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher.
