Calling all mental health professionals!! Are you detail oriented and like working in a fast-paced environment? CIBH is seeking a Specialty Docket Coordinator in our Forensic Unit to be responsible for the day to day planning, monitoring, coordination of services and management of the Chesapeake Adult Recovery Court and Behavioral Health Docket. This Clinician III position serves as the liaison to local courts, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Recovery Court Advisory Board, Commonwealth Attorneys, Public Defenders, the local criminal bar, treatment providers, social service agencies and community stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:
    • The Clinician III attends court hearings and works collaboratively with local courts, Community Services Boards in the region, other service providers, attorneys, law enforcement, and probation to provide services to participate and ensure a proper functioning program.
    • Supervise staff including selecting or recommending selection in hiring process, training, assigning and evaluating work, counseling, disciplining, and recommending termination in the Forensic unit.
    • Develops and implements goals for staff and ensure they follow the Key Performance Indicators for various positions within the unit
    • Stay abreast of new developments related to area of responsibility. Maintains records in accordance with program policies and procedures, state and federal regulations.
    • The Clinician III manages existing program grants and seeks out additional funding opportunities
Performs other duties as assigned.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires a bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a closely related field or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
    • Requires Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP – Adult).
    • Requires pre-screening Certification within 6 weeks of hire.
    • Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City’s Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
