Crisis Services Manager (Pos. #928)
Individual wanted to provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to children in order to avert hospitalization or re-hospitalization; provide normative environments with a high assurance of safety and security for crisis intervention; stabilize individuals in psychiatric crisis; and mobilize the resources of the community support system, family members, and others for ongoing maintenance, rehabilitation, and recovery.
Responsibilities include assessment of imminent risk due to mental illness, or co-occurring substance use or intellectual disabilities, including danger to self, others, and/or inability to care for self due to mental illness. Supervision of intensive in-home services. Diagnostic evaluation of persons presenting for emergencies, counseling and supportive interventions to persons in crisis situations; crisis stabilization to persons at risk of hospitalization. Additionally, provide center-based and community-based services; hospital discharge care coordination; work collaboratively with agency and community clinicians on behalf of crisis disposition and triage.
Monday – Friday : 8:00am – 5:00pm; hours may vary based on programmatic needs.
Masters Degree in Human Services (ie.. Social Work, Psychology or other related degrees); Professional License required. At least one year of experience in providing clinical services to children and their families coupled with experience in crisis intervention and assessments. Knowledge of child and family systems, behavioral health disorders in children and appropriate interventions for identified problems preferred.
