Crisis Stabilization Provider
|District 19 Community Services Board is offering a Full Time position for a Crisis Stabilization Provider to provide short-term crisis stabilization to adults throughout the D19 service areas. Main office is located in Petersburg, VA but position will cover nine localities Essential duties of this position are: crisis interventions to stabilize psychiatric conditions, problem solving to prevent escalation of psychiatric symptoms, assist in returning consumer to pre-crisis state or better, collaboration with treatment staff and clinical documentation.|
|Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):|
|Successful applicant must hold a valid certification from Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services as a Certified Preadmission Prescreening Clinician or be LMHP-R eligible and able to be certified within 30 days of hire, at least one year of experience in providing services to adults and children experiencing serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance, experience working with consumers experiencing a mental health crisis, experience with clinical record documentation and basic computer skills.
Requirements to be certified as a Preadmission Screening Clinician are as follows:
Currently holds a license as a LMHP or LMHP-R:
-Licensed Professional Counselor
Holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree that would be required for the following:
|Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:|
|Prefer familiarity with local resources and Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, etc.)
Prefer bilingual (English/Spanish) candidate.
Preadmission screening evaluator is hired with knowledge, skills, and abilities to establish a welcoming environment for individuals with co-occurring disorders and performing hopeful engagement and integrated screening and assessment.
Position is a grade 209-211 depending Licensure Status. Minimum annual salary is $47,476.00.
Starting salary for new employees will be based on the prospective employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities directly relating to the position’s duties. Current or most recent verified salary will also be taken into consideration prior to making an offer of employment. Starting salaries for new employees will not exceed the advertised maximum and will be based on the availability of funding within the current budget.
