Introduction Are you a change agent in the field of substance use/co-occurring treatment working with adults in an outpatient setting? We are looking for a clinical superstar! We are seeking an individual interested in being part of creative and productive team and organization whose mission is a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals and their families in the Prince William County community. Prince William County Community Services is looking for therapists who are committed to helping individuals recover from substance use and co-occurring disorders through a system of care that respects and promotes the dignity, rights and full participation of adults and their families. ABOUT THIS ROLE:
  • Maintaining a caseload of clients, who will be in services with other clinicians and physicians
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments, including ASAM Criteria and DLA 20
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans to promote progress of clients
  • Documentation of all services, contacts and attempted contacts with client and collaterals
  • Linking, monitoring, referring, coordinating, facilitating services needed by clients.
  • Collaborating with other departments within the CS and the community
  • Collaborating with Probation Officers, Attorneys, physicians, hospitals, and family members
  • Maintaining healthy boundaries with clients
  • Implementing program, systems, state and federal directives
  • Providing clinical and administrative supervision to subordinate staff
PREFERENCES: The successful candidate will have…
  • Master’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field.
  • Possesses an unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • 2-3 years of experience providing therapy services to adults with issues related to mental health, substance use and co-occurring in office and community-based settings.
Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience providing and supervising direct clinical services to adults and families with complex mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders.
