Director, Fairfax Detoxification Center (Behavioral Health Manager)

Team oriented individual to be part of an innovative and rewarding program providing residential detoxification services and community outreach for individuals withdrawing from drugs and alcohol. Manages the overall operations of a large community based residential medical and clinically managed detoxification program. Provides clinical supervision and oversight of substance abuse and mental health services and administrative supervision of medical services. Ensures compliance with applicable Federal, State, Medicaid and County standards. Serves as Emergency Personnel. On call and occasional weekend or evening hours may be required.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, plus five years of related professional experience, of which two, years must have been in a supervisory role.

Contingent upon area of assignment, some positions within this class:
Must be currently licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional
Counselor, Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner;  Clinical Nurse Specialist;
MANDT Certifications within six (6) months of appointment and annually thereafter;
First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of appointment and maintained throughout CSB employment;
Medication Administration Assistance Certification within 90 days of appointment;
Valid Motor Vehicle Driver’s license with fewer than six demerit points (or equivalent in another state) at time of appointment and maintained throughout employment with CSB.

The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry, a driving record check, and a sanctions screening to the satisfaction of the employer to the satisfaction of the employer.

Licensure in Virginia as Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Psychologist. Supervisory experience in a substance abuse program. Residential Detoxification Experience.

TB test and/or chest xray required annually. Ability to monitor vital signs, ability to spend 1-2 hours in seated position, ability to use keyboard to in- put and retrieve information from computer system, must be able to independently drive county vehicle.  All duties perform with or without reasonable accommodations.

Panel interview and may include written exercise.
