Emergency Services Therapist-PRN
District 19 CSB is seeking a seasoned professional for a full-time Emergency Services Therapist position located in Petersburg, VA. Essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to: crisis screening for civil commitment, brief crisis intervention and counseling, follow-up of hospital and jail/prison discharges, and outpatient therapy. Attendance at civil commitment hearings.
Required qualifications include: Master’s degree in human services or a related field that will lead to Licensure as a LPC, LCSW, LMFT with the Virginia Board of Health Professions , clinical experience providing therapy service to consumers with mental health/substance abuse/co-occurring disorders; ability to make sound clinical decisions under stressful circumstances, Knowledge of VA code as it relates to involuntary commitment, knowledge of assessment and diagnosis of substance use and mental health. This position requires certification as Preadmission Screening Evaluator within 30 days of hire.
Preferred candidate will have basic computer skills, crisis intervention experience. Professional license preferred (i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
Position is PRN, hourly, with no benefits. This is a grade 212 position. Hourly rate starts at $27.00.
Flexible schedules available, typical shifts are 7-3p, 3-11p, and 11-7a, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Telework is possible for this position.
Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Position requires driver’s license in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher.
