Human Resources Director
Valley Community Services Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Human Resources Director. The Human Resources Director serves as the senior human resources professional for Valley Community Services Board. The HR Director is responsible for the overall development and on-going operation of the Human Resources department and initiatives, including Employee Relations, Recruitment, Benefit Administration, and Wage and Compensation Systems. This position supervises the Human Resource Generalist and the Staff Development Specialist and receives supervision and direction from the Executive Director. The Human Resources Director is a member of the organization’s Executive Leadership team.
The Human Resources Director will exercise a high degree of initiative and independence of action and possess and exhibit integrity, confidentiality, outstanding judgment, advanced business skills, conflict resolution, negotiating skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must also have thorough knowledge of employment law and compliance standards and experience with HRIS system usage.

Requirements: The Human Resources Director should hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience as an equivalent. Master’s Degree preferred; Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) or Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification preferred.
