District 19 Community Services Board is offering a great opportunity for a full time MH/SA Therapist to work in the Hopewell/Prince George/Surry Clinic.
Essential job duties of this position include: Providing individual and group therapy services to consumers in community and criminal justice settings who suffers from substance use and co-occurring disorders. To provide the mental status exams, clinical assessments, SUD SBI screenings, person centered treatment plans based on the evaluation and other needs assessments.
Successful applicant must be Licensed(LPC, LCSW) or License Eligible (Registered with Board of Counseling). Knowledge of CSB system; clinical motivation of clients; case management; etiology of substance abuse; related mental disorders; self -help groups; bio, psycho, and social aspects of substance abuse. Skills in group, oral and written communication; multi-cultural sensitivities; sound judgment.
Experience working with adults with SUD as primary disorder, experience with consumers in the criminal justice system, and experience with crisis intervention.
Work experience in group/individual SA work in public agency preferred.
Travel is required within the District 19 CSB catchment area.
Bilingual (Spanish) candidate preferred.
Position is a grade 210 or 211 depending on licensure status.
Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening, to include a driver’s license report if applicable.
