Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Rockbridge Area Community Services in Lexington, VA, is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join the multidisciplinary team in providing direct care for the broad range of mental health clinical services offered by the agency. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will join a treatment staff in the Psychiatric Services Unit that includes two part-time psychiatrists and three full-time nursing staff. The PSU providers actively collaborate with therapists and case managers in outpatient mental health and substance use services, as well as caring for the SMI and ID populations. Interprofessional relationships within RACSB are very positive, with a high degree of mutual respect, trust, and commitment to the shared mission of providing compassionate, patient-centered care. The agency offers a three-level outpatient substance abuse program incorporating medication-assisted treatment when clinically appropriate, as well as a range of outpatient therapies for adults and children and emergency services for the catchment area. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position is a 37.5 hour/week benefitted position, including participation in the Virginia Retirement System. There are no after-hours call, and some potential for flexible scheduling in coordination with other provider staff.

Minimum qualifications for the position include Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification (PMHNP-BC) and license to practice in Virginia.
