Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Human Services field (i.e. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.), three years of professional experience within the Human Services field preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Prefer at least one year of supervisory experience with community mental health program. Must be licensed mental health professional or license eligible (LMHP-R, LMHP-S, LMHP-E). This position requires excellent skills in completing comprehensive assessments, formulating treatment goals and implementation of recovery-oriented services to persons with serious mental illness. Must possess strong critical thinking skills with attention to detail and have ability to track and meet multiple competing deadlines consistently and independently. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. Duties Coordinate orientation processes at Chester House, a progressive psychosocial rehabilitation program for adults with serious mental illness. Complete initial and annual comprehensive clinical assessments to determine need for service. Review service plans at six-month intervals to make recommendations for continued services. In collaboration with Services Supervisor and Program Supervisor, provide consistent feedback to Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) staff working within the program regarding documentation, and approve Individual Service Plans (ISPs). Provide overall support to program by promoting best practices and recovery-oriented services. Assist Services Supervisor in monitoring compliance with Medicaid, the Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), and licensure regulations and completing prior authorizations. Provide backup program coverage for Services Supervisor and Program Supervisor. Lead group and carry a small caseload. Assist with training in evidenced based practices for QMHPs. Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
