Senior Clinician - BFOQ/Bilingual - English/Spanish
BFOQ: Bilingual – English/Spanish. The ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently is a requirement for this position.
Master’s degree in a Human Services field with three years of professional experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure or license eligible required. Ability to provide focused counseling services to a general adult population, and the ability to handle difficult and challenging clinical cases. Previous training, knowledge and/or experience in a recognized evidence-based practice is strongly preferred. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
You are invited to join the Adult Mental Health Team – a dedicated group of mental health professionals providing mental health counseling services to adults over the age of 18. Team members apply individualized therapeutic approaches to a wide variety of mental health issues and challenges faced by Chesterfield County residents. Adult Mental Health Team members use an electronic health record (EHR) to maintain clinical records; enter and update data; maintain case history and document progress notes regularly. Clinicians consistently update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
