|District 19 CSB is seeking a full-time Senior Clinician located in Emporia, VA. Essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to: completing comprehensive clinical needs assessments, crisis screening for civil commitment, brief crisis intervention and counseling, follow-up on hospital discharges and individuals released from jail in need of stabilization, case management or substance use services. Provide clinical oversight of both Sussex and Emporia clinics in the absence of clinic manager.|
|Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed):|
|Required qualifications include: Master’s degree with a major course of study in Human Services (e.g., Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Nursing) or Master’s degree or equivalent course. This position requires an LMHP or LMHP-R. The degree should be acceptable by the Virginia Department of Health Professionals as a sufficient Master’s degree to allow licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Substance Abuse Practitioner, or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. This position requires clinical experience providing clinical services to consumers with mental health/substance use/co-occurring disorders; ability to make sound clinical decisions under stressful circumstances, knowledge of assessment and diagnosis of substance use and mental health.|
|Preferred Qualifications / Other Relevant Job Information:|
|Preferred candidate will have excellent computer skills, crisis intervention experience and must obtain certification as a crisis pre-screener within two months of hire. Professional license preferred (i.e. LCSW, LPC) or license eligible and registered with the VA Board of Counseling or Social Work.
Position is a grade 212. Minimum annual salary is $47,476.00.
Starting salary will be commensurate with experience/training.
