Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) – CAC/Outpatient Services
The purpose of this position is to efficiently provide sexual assault forensic medical exams for children and adolescents referred through the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) of the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Highlands Community Services (HCS). This position provides clinically and legally sound sexual assault and forensic medical exams for children in a trauma informed fashion. The SANE will document and communicate the results of examinations clearly in verbal and written form and testify effectively in court when necessary in regards to exams provided.
Position Specifics:
Location: Abingdon & Bristol, VA
Status: PRN, Non-Exempt, On-Call; Day and Night Shift
Compensation: Commensurate with Education & Experience
Education: Current/Active license in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
Experience: Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner training required.
