Prevention Specialist Contract (2084)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Prevention Program Manager, develops and implements prevention programs for youth, parents, and families. Provides prevention presentations to the public and works with community partners on strategies to meet community needs.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Requirements
M1: High school diploma or equivalent
M2: Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation
Preferred Requirements
P1: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of one year of related work experience with youth and/or families
P2: Bachelor’s degrees in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health,
Prevention, and/or Criminal Justice field
P3: Experience in teaching, guidance, substance misuse or mental health counseling, or prevention education
P4: Supplemental certification as a prevention professional (CPP)
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
HOURLY RATE RANGE
$19.18 – $33.58
