Nursing Supervisor - ICF

The Nursing Supervisor (RN) will have the following duties and responsibilities:

- Supervise staff to include assigning and overseeing daily work, providing guidance and direction, and advising and training staff on policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Primary Care Physicians, Consultants, and outside providers.
- Coordinate medical care for multiple individuals.
- Be on-call, as required, to respond via phone/in-person to emergencies.
- Provide technical support, training, and monitoring to non-licensed staff regarding healthcare services and medication administration, including g-tube feeding, foley catheter, and colostomy bag.
- Monitor record keeping/documentation for accuracy and detail.
- Perform monthly assessments of resident status.
- Develop and review nursing care plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a reciprocal state (according to the Nurse Licensure Compact as prescribed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing). Requires a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
