Behavioral Health Psychologist Employee Medical Center/Human Resources Hiring Range: $69,315 – $105,705 Deadline: 11:59 p.m. November 3, 2024 Chesterfield County is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Behavioral Health Psychologist to join our newly established Employee Behavioral Health Program (EBHP) that falls within the Employee Medical Center (EMC). This role will provide behavioral health services to support the well-being of Chesterfield County employees in their service to residents and the community to include new hire consultation services and psychological testing for public safety departments, individual psychological/counseling services and testing upon request, including Fit-for-Duty (FFD) and Return-to-Work (RTW) evaluations for employees and referrals. This position also provides direct clinical and consultative services to employees and departments; provides education and training opportunities for departments/leadership in conjunction with other EBHP clinicians; assists peer support groups clinically as needed; crisis intervention and crisis prevention services, as needed; provides counseling as needed; and provides on scene coverage for crisis services after hours, weekends and holidays, as needed. Build internal and external relationships and work effectively with both professional staff and employees from a broad spectrum and diverse backgrounds of many professional orientations and educational backgrounds. Perform position duties independently and make sound clinical decisions and judgements. Successful candidate will possess a doctorate-level degree in clinical psychology; three years of experience as a licensed clinical psychologist and active clinical license; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred experience includes training and experience in a crisis setting, working with high stress professions including first responders and human services professionals, and demonstrated initiative. Active clinical psychologist licensure in the State of VA required. Adherence to basic ethics appropriate for a professional helping relationship and/or as required through state licensing associations. Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing. Operate a personal computer and related software and other standard office equipment, including documenting services in an electronic health record. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
