- Provides individual, family, and group therapies as well as case management services to meet clients’ needs and productivity standards.
- Conducts clinical intakes, diagnostic interviews, and treatment plans; Develops and writes comprehensive diagnostic summaries and reports with appropriate referrals.
- Develops and maintains administrative and clinical files and reports, documenting to meet clinical auditing standards.
- Completes Quarterly and Annual Reviews within required time frames.
- Participates in clinical, administrative and supervisory meetings; collaborates with other staff members concerning cases.
- Conducts risk safety risk assessments and make referrals to higher levels of care based on these risks.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders, other treatment team members, referral sources, and other community resources with client consent. Maintain communication with these sources to ensure appropriate service delivery.
- Completes electronic clinical documentation during the time of service delivery and maintain confidentiality of records within HIPAA standards.
- Completes discharge summaries within 30 days of last date of contact and accurately reflect progress towards treatment goals.
- Supports client reimbursement by properly authorizing services on a timely basis and encouraging clients to pay at time of service.
- Drug tests clients as needed basis or as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of diagnostic classification and psychosocial assessment.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of providing care to the emotionally disturbed, socially dysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, mentally ill and/or substance abusive clients and their families.
- Thorough knowledge of the theories and techniques of counseling and crisis intervention.
- Thorough knowledge of intake techniques and procedures.
- Ability to evaluate and screen clients.
- Ability to prepare adequate records and to report findings and data effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates and the thorough public.
- Knowledge of MS Office, to include Word and Excel.
- Master’s degree in Human Services or related field;
- LMHP Resident or LMHP;
- At least one year experience in substance abuse and mental health is required.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults preferred.
- This work requires little or no physical effort or exertion.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license;
- Attends training and maintains certifications as required by the Agency and regulatory guidelines.
