Licensed Clinician I LPC/LCSW / Child & Adolescent Outpatient (Counselor/Case Manager) At Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, we are committed to providing individuals with quality health care. This position provides counseling, psychotherapy, and/or crisis intervention to a caseload of individuals diagnosed with mental health, substance use, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities/disorders. The position involves collaborative consultation with colleagues, as well as other agencies and services providers such as social services, schools, physicians, or probation officers, in accordance with confidentiality guidelines. You will develop and implement individualized service plans that are person-centered, recovery, and outcomes-oriented, make referrals for other care providers as needed, and maintain documentation standards. The candidate will maintain caseload record in accordance with departmental, state, and federal regulations, laws, policies, and procedures; self-guided determination to process daily paperwork, including client progress notes, insurance forms, daily time sheets, service logs, and billing reports is required in the position. Additional duties of this position include completing the required annual compliance training and maintaining current standards relative to Corporate Compliance and HIPPA policies and procedures. Reporting any violations, inconsistencies, or discrepancies, concerning the Corporate Compliance polices and procedures or HIPPA Polices and procedures to the supervisor or appropriate authority. Manages case load by utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) reports daily. Typical Tasks
    • Provides individual, group, and family counseling, psychotherapy, and/or crisis intervention to individuals who have been diagnosed with MH, SU, ID, and/or DD Diagnoses.
    • Completes initial and annual assessments on individuals seeking clinical services.
    • Develops and implements individualized treatment plans that are person centered, evidence based, and outcomes oriented.
    • Completes appropriate clinical documentation and assures that assessments and correspondence to outside contacts are clinically appropriate and completed thoroughly and in a timely manner.
    • Advocates on behalf of the client, in relation to services needed.
    • Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
    • Maintains records for area of responsibility in accordance with departmental, state, and federal regulations, laws, policies, and procedures; processes daily paperwork including but not limited to client progress notes, authorization forms and daily time sheets.
    • Completes required annual compliance training, participate actively and constructively in program and professional development.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires a master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field, or another degree as approved by the Virginia Department of Health Professions. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
    • Requires State of Virginia licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Psychologist (LCP).
    • A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist MD/DO, or a Bachelor’s Prepared Registered Nurse (RN) with five years of experience may be considered in the Emergency Services Program.
    • May consider as a marginal (under-grade) applicant a Resident in Counseling or Supervisee in Social Work applicant who is currently registered with the Board of Health Professions with the ability to obtain licensure within the probationary period.
    • May require Pre-Screening Certification within 6 weeks of employment (12 weeks for part-time staff) for those in the Emergency Services Program.
    • Depending on the position, it may require a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City’s Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
