Crisis Specialist The Anchor & Highlands Harbor are HCS’ upcoming, brand-new programs that is an alternative to hospitalization for those experiencing a psychiatric/substance related mental health crisis. The Anchor is a 24/7 facility-based crisis center that provides a safe space with open recliners or individual calm rooms for consumers undergoing a severe impairment of functioning because of a precipitating situation or personal distress – in which the crisis is expected to be resolved within 23 hours. Highlands Harbor offers an overnight, non-hospital setting that focuses on individualized care for those experiencing psychiatric/substance use crisis including detox. This brand-new program has the capacity of a 12-bed unit in a newly renovated building. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve by conducting thorough clinical assessments for consumers experiencing a behavioral health crisis that needs potentially intensive and immediate Crisis Services. Assessments consist of diagnostic assessment with other assessment components including American Society of Addiction Medicine criteria. This position also provides individual and group crisis therapy along with crisis intervention and stabilization. Position Specifics Location: Crisis Services Office – Abingdon, VA Status: Full-time, Exempt, 12-hour rotating night shifts Compensation: $50,000 (Licensed Eligible)/$55,000 (Licensed) – Commensurate with education/experience. $5,000.00 Sign-On Bonus! Education: Master’s Degree eligible to seek Supervision for Licensure in the State of Virginia to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT). Experience: One-year clinical experience required. Two years of post-licensure experience preferred.
