We are offering a full-time Developmental Disability Services Supervisor position. This position provide supervision over our case management services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Services Supervisor to provide supervision over our case management services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and their families. The incumbent performs a range of professional and administrative responsibilities related to coordinating and supporting clinical and case management activities. This role includes providing guidance and supervision to assigned Support Coordinators, overseeing documentation and staff schedules, and helping to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. The position also involves collaborating with other divisions and community partners, maintaining accurate records and files, preparing reports, and carrying out related duties as assigned. Ensures high-quality services that positively impact the individuals we serve and the community. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the assigned manager. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing complex tasks and handling emergent situations and performing outreach and community education.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related human services field.
- At least two years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
- Meets the DBHDS criteria for QDDP (Qualified Developmental Disability Professional).
- At least one year of supervisory experience is required.
- Valid VA driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of community-based behavioral health principles and developmental services.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement in the state of Virginia and its impact to individuals with disabilities preferred
- Thorough knowledge of crisis intervention and of community resources and human services network.
- Working knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical supervision
- General knowledge of managed care systems.
- Skilled in maintaining medical records requirements and professional documentation
- Ability to supervise the work of others and solve problems within scope of responsibility.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to prepare and present reports and program recommendations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, subordinates, associates, law enforcement, medical personnel, community partners and the general public.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related human services field.
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug tests, and central registry report will be required upon selection. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
Annual Salary Range
Grade S-C9
$60,863.00 – $68,471.00
