Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (CIBH) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to support our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs), where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive person-centered care in a truly home-like environment.

What You’ll Do: • Provide clinical leadership for two five-bed ICFs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered nursing care. • Supervise and support nursing staff, offering guidance, training, and daily oversight. • Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, consultants, and other providers to coordinate medical care. • Support direct support professionals with training, coaching, and oversight related to healthcare needs and medication administration. • Monitor documentation and recordkeeping for accuracy and regulatory compliance. • Conduct monthly assessments and review nursing care plans to ensure best practices are followed.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in nursing. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a reciprocal state (according to the Nurse Licensure Compact as prescribed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing). Requires a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
