Intermediate Care Facilities – Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (CIBH)

Chesapeake Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (CIBH) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Supervisor to support our Intermediate Care Facilities (ICFs), where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive person-centered care in a truly home-like environment.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide clinical leadership for two five-bed ICFs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered nursing care.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, offering guidance, training, and daily oversight.
• Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, consultants, and other providers to coordinate medical care.
• Support direct support professionals with training, coaching, and oversight related to healthcare needs and medication administration.
• Monitor documentation and recordkeeping for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct monthly assessments and review nursing care plans to ensure best practices are followed.

VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of three years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a reciprocal state (according to the Nurse Licensure Compact as prescribed by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing). Requires a valid driver’s license with a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
