Outpatient Clinician
Goochland Powhatan Community Services announces a full time opening, for the position of Outpatient Clinician. As a Clinician at GPCS you will
- Provide integrated behavioral health services to individuals served and their support system including.
- Evaluation and assessment of needs, Treatment planning
- Outpatient individual therapy/family therapy
- Psychoeducation and psychotherapy groups
- Care coordination.
- Provide services in a variety of settings to include an outpatient clinic, or via telehealth.
- Carry a caseload that is diverse in varying ages, abilities, needs and MH/SUD clinical presentations.
- Actively participate within a multidisciplinary team through the CSB including case managers, peer recovery specialists, nurses, and psychiatry services to help address recovery from a holistic perspective.
Successful candidates will posses
- Master’s degree in a Human Services field (i.e., social work, counseling, etc.).
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Experience working with children (preferred).
- Thorough working knowledge of the DSM criteria.
- Experience working with persons with severe mental illness, serious emotional disturbance, and co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent organizational, communication and documentation skills.
- Computer skills including use of an electronic health record (preferred).
- Experience with group psychotherapy (preferred)
The starting salary is commensurate with education and experience and starts at $63,000 for license eligible and $70,000 for licensed. Supervision can be provided towards LCSW, LPC and for Registered Play Therapist accreditation.
