POSITION

Prevention Specialist #2087 RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Prevention Program Manager, develops and implements
prevention programs for at-risk population; includes youth, parents and families.  Provides prevention presentations to the general public.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements
M1:  
Bachelor’s degree
M2:  
Minimum of one year of related work experience with at-risk youth and/or families
M3:  
Schedule varies with evenings, weekends, and overnight travel
M4:  
Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation

Preferred Requirements

P1:  
Bachelor’s Degrees in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public    Health, Prevention and/or Criminal Justice field
P2:  
Experience in teaching, guidance, substance abuse or mental health counseling or prevention education
P3:  
Certification as prevention professional

Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS)report will be required upon request.    
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE
