Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor

** $2,000 sign-on bonus available per agency policy**
  • Make a Real Difference, Every Day

At our Clubhouse, members aren’t just clients – they’re partners. As a Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor, you’ll work alongside people living with serious mental illness to build the real-world skills that lead to independence: cooking, budgeting, socializing, and working. You’ll see progress up close, and you’ll know your work matters.

This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role for someone who thrives in a community setting, values creativity in their work, and believes in people’s capacity to grow.

    What You’ll Do

    • Coach and mentor members through daily living skills – food preparation, safety, health, socialization, and more – in a structured but supportive Clubhouse environment
    • Lead skill-building groups focused on pre-vocational readiness and independent living
    • Develop individualized treatment goals in collaboration with each member’s care team and case manager
    • Plan and participate in special activities, including field trips and community outings (yes, the fun stuff counts as the job)
    • Complete timely documentation – monthly summaries, treatment plans, and Medicaid-compliant records
    • Provide Mental Health Skill Building services as needed
    • Transport members in agency vehicles as part of regular programming

    Who You Are

You’re energized by people, not worn down by them. You bring patience, creativity, and a genuine belief that recovery is possible. You’re equally comfortable facilitating a group and filling out paperwork.

    You’ll need:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field
    • Experience working with individuals with mental health, intellectual disability, or substance use challenges (preferred)
    • QMHP, QMHP-T, or CPRP certification (or eligibility to obtain)
    • Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a 15-passenger van
    • Strong communication skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal
    • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
BENEFITS
  • Virginia Retirement, Life Insurance, Health/Dental Insurance, Paid Holidays, PTO leave, and Educational Assistance.
