Registered Nurse – Highlands Harbor & The Anchor – PRN; Days/Nights
Highlands Harbor is a new crisis stabilization program that provides an alternative to hospitalization. Highlands Harbor offers an overnight, non-hospital setting that focuses on individualized care for those experiencing psychiatric/substance use crisis including detox. This brand-new program has the capacity of a 12-bed unit in a newly renovated building.
The Anchor is also a new program that provides a 24/7 facility-based crisis center for those experiencing a psychiatric/substance related mental health crisis. The center serves as an alternative to hospitalization and provides a safe space with open recliners or individual calm rooms for undergoing a severe impairment of functioning because of a precipitating situation or personal distress- in which the crisis is expected to be resolved within 23 hours.
This vital position administers medications, aids with other medical procedures (blood pressure, urine screens, etc.), obtains prior authorizations, completes refill requests, facilitates contact with psychiatrist, and completes accurate medical records. Also, you’ll assists in brief medical assessment of enrolled consumers and supervise consumers receiving detoxification as well as assists with group activities including AcuDetox (training will be provided) and nutrition/wellness.

Status: PRN, Non-Exempt, Day and Night Shift
Compensation: 50.00 Days/52.50 Nights
Education: Current/Active license in the State of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
Experience: One-year psychiatric experience preferred
